Caffe Rustico

Café Rustico is a brick oven NY old school style pizzeria. It's not the new wave hybrid stuff you're seeing that's popping up all over the place in the pizza world. It is a quintessential NY old school style, thin very crispy crust and flavorful sauce. The owner Vinny is a gentleman and a very pleasant person. I am real born and raised trueyorker (New Yorker) who has been eating pizza all over my city for over 40+ years from Queens, Brooklyn, Bronx and Manhattan... And I can tell you that if you enjoy or never had the traditional old school style pizza in NY then definitely get over to this place and give it a try. They do offer some traditional Italian pasta dishes in which; I myself have never tried but, what I have been told from a few people in the pizza group in which I belong to is

Went to order a pizza yesterday to take home. The owner suggested to deliver it instead of waiting 15 minutes. I agreed, since I walk with a cane. I could not have handled a full size pizza anyway! Delivery was done very professionally at no additional cost, except for a tip. Excellent pizza and superb experience!

Vinny is the best, his food is always on point and there ever is an issue he is always looking to take care of his customers and make it right. Great customer service and great food.

Simply fantastic. Fresh crisp salads, with the perfect amount of dressing. Hot mouth-watering, cheese pie that was just out of the oven. And thoughtfully wrapped decadent chicken parm sandwich to go (and made everyone on the plane jealous when eaten a few hours later). Location super easy to get to from Cross Island Pkwy. Kudos & keep slayin’!!

Just got two dishes: Vitello Funghi(veal w/ mushroom & prosciutto brown sauce) and Chicken Francese(white wine sauce w/lemon & butter). Authentic Italian food for a reasonable price. Highly recommended !!
