Cafe Rio Fresh Modern Mexican

Food is so disgusting here. Got the steak salad thing and it had like 4 pieces of steak and the rest was salad. It was FREEZING inside this place. Horrible atmosphere. Ever heard of putting the heat on when it’s 0 degrees out? Everyone inside had jackets on. Such an uncomfortable experience. Only good part was the bathroom. Never again

Went for early lunch on a Sunday. The line at the counter was very short which was nice. We ordered our food really fast but a lady in front of us was paying for a huge order. This took quite a long time with the line backing up. It would be nice if they had another register to keep a single person from backing up everyone else. Other locations have more than one register so it would be great if they did at this location as well. The condiment counter could use a clean and for health reasons, the forks, knives, and spoons shouldn't be in a bin where everyone has to fish through them all. That isn't sanitary at all and pretty gross knowing others have already touched my utensils. The restaurant is pretty clean overall with some touchups needing to be addressed. Food was delicious as usual.

Get the sweet barbacoa pork! This is my brother in law’s favorite restaurant! Guac and chips here is fresh and always hits! Great quick stop when you’re tired from skiing!

If you are going to place a mobile order at this cafe rio location please ensure you do not purchase any sides. I have yet to get the sides I purchase over the app without having to drive back. Tonight is another case of that. The most frustrating part is the lack of ability to ask for a refund without calling. So for anyone else looking at this cafe rio location. The food is great. The staff are friendly. Dining in is always clean and well taken care of. But the mobile order situation in this store is lacking if it includes anything beyond entrees.

One of my favorite places to eat in Kimball Junction, especially after a long day at Utah Olympic Park. I've been eating here for years, and everything is delicious. The enchilada style burrito and the salad are my favorites. The fresh handmade tortillas are so good.
