The service was amazing! Our server, I believe his name was Will(?) was on top of it. I got the rainbow trout, it was just okay. My partner said the same about the lamb he got. The appetizers and desserts were great! I got the crème brûlée and it was scrumptious. We also split the french onion soup, it was good but on the salty side. Overall, I had a nice time :)
We went on a Saturday night which was quite busy and noisy. I've been told that it's quieter during lunch. The chairs are solid wood and not comfortable for me. The pastry chicken had a soggy crust and I ended up just eating the chicken and veggies. The other dishes looked good and the mound of fries looks tasty, but a a side of veggies might be a nice option. The online menu is apparently four years old and hasn't been changed in years. They don't do anything for birthdays etc. The desserts looked like the hit of the night. If your back can handle the chairs, I'd recommend going for lunch and try everything except the chicken. It's a bit more expensive than other restaurants, but only by $10/person.
This is one of my new favorite restaurants, a hidden gem! We were greeted at the door and promptly waited on! The food was delicious and loved all the choices. My favorite is their quiche! Desserts are out of this world!!! Its nice to have a place like this in St.Louis!!
This is a gem of a restaurant in a shopping center in Kirkwood, a suburb of St Louis. The scallop appetizer was outstanding, and the caesar salad was the best I've had in a long time. For my main dish, I ordered a 6-oz fillet with bernaise sauce and fries. The steak was tender and the fries were delicious. Next time, I would probably have them omit the sauce. For dessert, I had an enjoyable slice of lemon tart. The service was excellent, and the ambience was that of a Paris bistro. UPDATE-1: Another very enjoyable evening at this restaurant. Had the chocolate mousse for dessert.
Went to celebrate my birthday and I will say it did NOT disappoint. The food was absolutely scrumptious, the restaurant is so chic and the overall atmosphere is exactly what my soul needed. They have a different menu in the evening so we will definitely be returning to try that! C'était absolutely parfait et j'ai hâte de retourner.
