Customer Reviews
I had a fantastic experience at Cafe Plov & Borscht! I ordered the Achichuk salad — 5/5, absolutely fresh and full of flavor. The borscht — 4/5 was hearty and comforting, just the way it should be. And the chicken wings shish kebab — 5/5 was outstanding — perfectly grilled, juicy, and seasoned just right. The place itself is cozy, clean, and has a nice atmosphere that makes you feel at home. The service was friendly and attentive, and the food came out quickly. You can tell they put care into what they serve. Definitely a spot worth visiting.
For those who are not familiar with Russian, Ukrainian, Uzbek, or Tajik cuisine, I could probably spend a long time listing all the dishes. In general, this is the kind of food that many people across the post-Soviet countries grew up eating. If you’ve never tried this cuisine before, I want to say that you will most likely love it. The food is made from very wholesome ingredients. We typically use very few sauces, and when sauces are used, they are usually simple, natural, and free from artificial flavors or chemical additives. This is something that often distinguishes Slavic cuisine from many other cuisines around the world. If you enjoy truly healthy food and care about what you eat, you will definitely appreciate it. The food here is extremely delicious. Every dish we ordered was ex
This is an amazing unpretentious central Asian, halal Uzbekistani, restaurant serving delicious home cooked dishes. In addition, they have a small shop for those missing their favorites from Uzbekistan. Enjoy the scrumptious food in a bright, clean modern space. This restaurant would be amazing anywhere in the USA. Salt Lake City is very lucky to have this restaurant in it's back yard.
Very very delicious food. Idk why people leave comments saying expensive or smth else, we came all the way from Orlando, and finding Uzbek and Halal food in Salt Lake city Utah, is to be honest a great finding. Plov is very good, especially it is Samarkand Style, which not a lot of people can make. They have all type of foods from different kitchens, definitely come and try you will not regret. Price compared to Uzbek food all around usa is very affordable.
I have never had food from Uzbekistan but I am now a fan. I had the Plov and my husband had the Dymlyama. The food was delicious and the proportions were very generous. Love the spices in these dishes. We will definitely be back.
