This place is a waffle delight. The variety of flavors takes me to my happy place. The peach cobbler is 🔥. The low country boil waffle 🔥. The workers gave the best customer service. Am I going back? Yes...many more times.
I came here over the weekend and was very pleased with my experience. The atmosphere is amazing. I loved the Jazz that was playing, gave the area a nice ambiance. Food is cooked to order so it was a wait but worth it. The Strawberry waffle was amazing. I also had the veggie omelet, I added turkey sausage and to wash it down I had the COE Sunrise. I personally wouldn’t get the drink again but would get a smoothie. I couldn’t get past the taste of the collards in the sunrise. Everything was under $35 and to me well worth it. Really enjoyed my visit.
I got the patty melt and pasta salad, it was very good, I enjoyed how the patty melt was pressed in a waffle maker, this was a unique idea and it allowed the sauce to stay on the bread. Next time I bring a show to the venue down the block I’m definitely going back.
Me and my girlfriends came to Cafe on 8th for a post holiday brunch. It was our first time coming here and we were not sure what to expect but we were all pleasantly surprised. The location leaves a lot to be desired as the surrounding buildings are run down and possibly abandoned? Maybe long term the area will improve or they will move. The ordering set up is a little wonky. You order at the counter , your given a number and seating is first come first serve. This set up is fine for solo dinners but groups will need to all order on one ticket if you want a chance of getting your food at the same time. The food is made to order so if three or more people in the same group order separately the first order will be at the table and cold by the time the rest of the food stagers out. I would ha
My husband and I had brunch at The Cafe on 8th, and it was such a great experience! They have some really unique waffles, and we tried a few different dishes, but The Down Home (stuffed chicken, bacon, and collard waffle) was easily our favorite. The waffle had collard greens and chicken mixed in, and the dip on the side just took it to the next level. So good! I also loved the Peach Palmer—super refreshing. The atmosphere was quiet and peaceful, which made the experience even better. Everything was cooked fresh, and we could watch as the cook prepared the dishes. We ordered at the register so we could get some recommendations, but you can also order from your phone and have the food brought to your table, which is really convenient. We’ll definitely be back! Highly recommend checking th
