Cafe Motek - Downtown

Went to this specific location bc it had impossible Arayes on the menu. Found out they stopped serving it for awhile so was really disappointed. Was not a fan of their Moroccan salmon wrap. Everything was avg, but the fam absolutely loved the chicken shwarma. Eggplant hummus was good too. Liked Cafe Motek, but would stick to Israeli food.

Cafe Motek – Downtown delighted us with its cozy atmosphere and stylish interior. The food was fresh and full of flavor, and we especially enjoyed the Middle Eastern dishes. Service was fast and friendly, and the staff was always ready to help with your selection. The prices are justified by the quality and presentation of the food. It's a great spot for a leisurely breakfast or lunch in the city center.

The waitress didn’t have a clue about the dishes and they didn’t have taramasalata and they had the audacity to charge me a no show fee of $60 whilst we showed up and ate for $150. These things really bug the hell out of me. You give people business and they charge you a no show fee. Next to that they charge you a 20% service fee also over the drinks (double tipping) and when they show you the brill they have the audacity to ask for an additional fee!! Get your act together and transfer me back the no show fee asap. The restaurant wasn’t full even. The arrogance is mindblowing to me. Not a good start.

I’ve been a loyal customer at Motek in Miami for a long time, and my experiences there have always been excellent—great food, great service, and high standards overall. Unfortunately, my visit to the Downtown location today was the complete opposite. As it was my first time at this specific location, I mistakenly placed my order at a totem that is apparently only for pickup. This was an honest mistake and not clearly communicated. When I received my food, I politely explained that I didn’t realize this and kindly asked if my food could be served on a plate. Instead of being understanding, the staff member was extremely rude and confrontational. He began arguing with me in front of other customers, which was very embarrassing and completely unnecessary. I was treated poorly despite being re
