Cafe Med Eugene

This was a truly incredible dining expirence. We were hungry and it was 7pm. We were reading reviews about nearby restaurants and this little place we hadn't heard of sounded good. From the moment we walked in it felt like it was going to be special. We were greeted warmly and seated on the enclosed patio complete with heaters to make the space comfortable. They even had blankets at the tables to be sure it was warm enough. We found it to be a warm and cozy place even during a significant rain storm. Our waiter was so attentive, personable, and obviously excited about the food (always a good sign). We started with some really well made delicious cocktails. With the astute recommendations of our waiter we ordered a crudo di pesce appetizer that was delicious. The other appetizer, however

Best birthday dinner! We started with a white wine that was suggested to us by the waitress, and the most amazing bread basket. The Crudo Di Pesce appetizer was an amazing mix of flavors, and the fish tasted so fresh. My boyfriend and I shared the Gnocchi Gorgonzola and Salmone Oregonata. I typically HATE blue cheese and didn't realize Gorgonzola was blue cheese, but I happily ate most of it. Ask for mushrooms on it!!! The salmon was great too. For dessert, I wanted the Crème brûlée, but was so full from dinner that I asked for it to go. The chef took such pride in his food that he "heavily suggested" to try it first because packaging it would compromise the structure of the dessert, and if I wanted it packaged after, they'd be happy to. We ended up demolishing the whole thing.

Very delicious food and exceptional service! Staff were attentive and just so friendly and helpful! The drinks were very lovely as well! Cozy and charming atmosphere.

Beautiful food, caring service from staff, cozy and thoughtful dining experience complete with warming blanket for sitting in the annex. Porcini truffle ravioli and chicken piccata both outstanding with a interesting cooking method on the chicken super tender, how was that cooked? Highly recommend delicate generous tiramisu.

I was amazed at each plate they brought out! The food was great, authentic and the atmosphere created the perfect date night. I can’t wait to go back and enjoy more of their great selection! I also would like to add that the staff was very friendly and we had a great time chatting with them. Thank you Cafe Med! We can’t wait to come back <3
