I visited Cactus Cantina recently, and overall it was a mixed experience. I ordered the crunchy tacos, which were good, but the beans and rice were pretty basic and didn’t have much flavor. I also ordered two scoops of guacamole it was really tasty and fresh, but for the price, it didn’t feel like it was quite worth it. One of my friends got the crab quesadilla and absolutely loved it, while my other friend ordered the enchiladas and said they were some of the best she’s ever had so the food seems to depend on what you order. The chips were nice and crisp, but the salsa tasted a bit off almost like it was made with green tomatoes or something slightly under ripe. It wasn’t my favorite. The margaritas were good (I had a frozen one, and my friend tried a mixed version), but unfortunately,
Hit this for Happy Hour after touring the Washington National Cathedral. Authentic and unique. Good happy hour specials from 3-6pm. Delicious! Recommend. Very attentive staff. Tortilla soup was unique and tasty (broth based)
Great service and vibes! Have been coming here on and off for several years now, and it never disappoints! Took some friends here last night for a 2016 bar crawl, and the vibes felt just so right! Plus the Quesadilla was amazing! Made my friend smile. Would recommend!
Been here a couple times now and always very good/hot food with awesome wait staff, and the chips and salsa are incredibleeeeee. Love them and you can heat them up the next day and they are so crispy good. Seafood soup was great, the classic enchilada/burrito type dishes are usually great too. The frozen margaritas are so good and pretty strong, they’ll mix flavors for you and strawberry/mango is a really good combo (recommended by cool waitress). All around a fun experience, lots of table room inside and out with interesting art and decorations everywhere.
Pretty good food. Like the atmosphere. Service was friendly and quick. Visiting from Texas so Really liked the Texas decor.
