CABANA GRILL MEXICAN RESTAURANT

Had a great time at the bar and lounge... It sits upstairs from the restaurant. I had a great time here. The food, service, and environment was great. It kind of made you forget that you were in Boston. Maybe it was our lucky night but our table was attended to by Ellie, Abby, and Luisa. I don't think the experience would have been the same without their friendly and attentive personalities.

We started with tostones con tocino y guacamole: The tostones and tocino(more like chicharrones than bacon in my opinion) were both cooked perfectly, and the guac was good. I felt like it was lacking an X-factor, some sort of sauce or added flavor. Don’t get me wrong though they were great. Next are the pupusas, oh my god I don’t know where to start. I got mine without cheese and it was still absolutely delicious. Even with nothing on them they’re amazing, but with the added coleslaw and sauce they’re godly. I would come back just for those alone. We got a chicken enchilada which was savory and well seasoned, delicious overall. Then finally the shrimp tacos. In my opinion they were pretty dry. IT'S UPSTAIRS!!! We almost didn't go in because we thought it was just a restaurant as it appeared downstairs, but there is a bar upstairs with additional seating to eat as well. The way the bartender prepared the drinks and presented them was phenomenal.

Marisol was an awesome waitress! So friendly and very attentive. She recommended the Lychee Martini and it was the best I’ve ever had. Thank you so much for a wonderful experience on our girls night out. The drinks are so good and the presentation is so cute!!! Would definitely come again
