Bánh Mì Lê

Solid spot for a quick Vietnamese meal. Been here a few times for breakfast. It’s one of the few Asian spots around that opens at 7 a.m. daily. The menu isn’t as expansive as some of the more popular Vietnamese restaurants in Dorchester, but they do offer a handful of pre-packaged items like spring rolls and sticky rice. I usually came in around opening when the sticky rice was still warm, and the version topped with chicken sausage and pork was quite good. Portions were smaller than what you’d get at some other Vietnamese spots, but the flavor was better. I also tried the bánh khọt (shrimp pancakes) and the grilled pork combo rice plate. Both solid, but not particularly memorable. My main issue was the pricing. Since prices aren’t listed on the overhead menu, items were rung up as “cus

I had Bánh canh and my wife had Mi khô for breakfast. We both also had corn milk. The foods tasted great. The broth was good, but had a strong taste of dried squids, which caused a bit imbalance. However, I still enjoyed it. The corn milk was excellent!

If you are reading and craving some homemade authentic Vietnamese dishes then come here. You won’t be disappointed.

Went in to pick up 6 banh mi. They’re fantastic. I did have to wait for mine though since they were out of bread at the time, but they told me if I waited 20 minutes they could get some more. While I waited, they gave me a free Vietnamese iced coffee too. Very generous of them, and the staff are really nice. Highly recommend

Nice place to stop in for soup, sandwiches and spring rolls. Not everything is in English so be careful about what you order. Good tea/smoothie collection. Tina is amazing behind the counter. Give her good tips.
