We had a lovely evening here last night. We were seated in the bar for dinner and drinks. It was peaceful and intimate on a Saturday night. Staff treated us super well and our bartender made a kickass Manhattan. Our favorites were the appetizers: the highly addictive Brussels Sprouts (pretty filling, ate too much:-)) and the radicchio feta salad. We hadn’t been in a while…loved it, then fell out of love…but new staff and new beginnings, still in the same beautiful building, so totally worth another shot.

My girlfriend and I dined at Butterfield during our stay in the Hudson Valley from October 17th to 19th, and it was truly one of the highlights of our weekend. A huge part of that experience was thanks to Peter, whose service was nothing short of exceptional — professional, attentive, and genuinely warm. Peter went above and beyond to make our evening memorable, offering great conversation and fantastic local recommendations for vineyards to visit and even a whiskey distillery, Tuthilltown, which ended up being one of the standouts of our trip. The food was excellent as well. My girlfriend ordered the roasted chicken, and she said it was the best she’s had in quite some time — and she’s a publicist in NYC who frequents fine dining establishments, so that’s high praise. Just sensational!! Service was perfect, food so delicious and well cooked: lamb was melting in the mouth, the pasta with squash was delicious, the cheese board and butterscotch pudding for dessert was a great finish!! The wine list is interesting and accessible. The dinner too was cosy - very good place - we recommend it 100%

Butterfield completely exceeded my expectations! I've wanted to dine here for a while, and I'm so glad I finally did. The atmosphere is incredible; we ate in the main dining room where the beautiful blue walls gave off such a great colonial vibe—any Outlander fans will definitely feel it! The booth seating was such a comfortable option. The decor is perfect. For appetizers, we shared the Radicchio salad with chicken, and it was one of the best salads I've ever had—it was perfectly portioned for two. We also had the olives if you like olives it is a great starter option for only $8. For our main courses, we had the trout and the pork chop. Both were cooked to perfection with super fresh, high-quality ingredients. The sides were also excellent, especially the risotto and asparagus we added

This is high-end restaurant with a menu and prices to match. I had the Cavatelli. It was very good, but it was $38. For that kind of money, I expect it to be the best Cavatelli I've ever had with amazing and unique flavors. I can't say that was the case. It was very good but not 'spectacular'. There were appetizers ordered for the table which were good, but again, not out of this world. I had vanilla gelato for dessert which was also good, but I've had better. We also had wine and cocktails. Of course all of this brought the bill up significantly. Everything consumed was a solid 4 star rating. I just can't get to 5 stars. The presentation of the food is wonderful, the staff is very nice, the grounds are beautiful, the restaurant is very nice, and the service is excellent, but this is simp
