About Butcher and Singer

Butcher and Singer is not your ordinary run-of-the-mill steakhouse. An homage to old Hollywood, low lights and dark woods evoke a feeling reminiscent of a bygone era when women donned full red lips, men wore a suit and tie and post-Prohibition liquor... More

Philadelphia honestly doesn’t get enough credit for how incredible its food scene is, and Butcher & Singer completely proved that to me. From the moment we walked in, the whole experience felt special, classic atmosphere, beautiful space, attentive service without ever feeling overwhelming. I have to start with the biscuits because I’m still thinking about them. I used to live in Nashville, Tennessee, a city famous for amazing biscuits, and somehow these were the best biscuits I’ve ever had in my life. Perfectly warm, buttery, soft, and unforgettable. Everything we ordered was outstanding. The baked oysters were fantastic, the lobster tail was cooked perfectly, and the steak was exactly what you hope for when you go to a great steakhouse, rich, flavorful, and executed flawlessly. It was

To whom may this concern I had a wonderful time at butcher and singer. It was my 36th birthday. I had no one join me but they made me feel like I had someone had the butcher salad which was excellent. Porterhouse for one one. The only thing I have to say about that is it could have been seasoned a little better but other than that it was excellent. Mashed potatoes were on point. Super creamy, delicious their biscuits 10 out of 10 creme brulee was phenomenal as well. atmosphere was spectacular my server Ben top notch went above and beyond to make my birthday special, highly recommend this place to anyone that is looking for a good bite to eat in Philadelphia. I am from New York City so this was definitely a different experience. Thank you again to the staff at butcher and singer and once a

My experience at Butcher and Singer was beyond expectations! The restaurant was beautiful and service could not have been better. Beef tartar was refreshing, and the recommended stuffed hash browns were perfectly buttery and crisp. The steaks were cooked and seasoned well, while the true star of the evening was the Lemon ice box cake! This was a very memorable meal I’ll never forget, the hype is truly justified.

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ An Absolute Masterclass in Old Hollywood Glamour and Prime Dining If you are looking for the definitive "Power Dining" experience in Philadelphia, look no further than Butcher and Singer. From the moment you step into the soaring, Great Gatsby-esque dining room, you know you’re in for something special. Our recent meal was a choreographed symphony of classic flavors and impeccable technique. 🦪 The Cold & Warm Starters We began with a selection from the raw bar and traditional French appetizers. • Chilled Lobster & Shrimp Cocktails: The presentation on a bed of crushed ice was stunning. Both the lobster and the jumbo shrimp were exceptionally fresh, sweet, and firm, served with a cocktail sauce that had just the right amount of horseradish kick. • Escargot: These were swimming in a ri

Loved everything about this restaurant, even the valet parking right in front of the entrance as it was freezing outside last night. Husband enjoyed his first taste of escargot. The wine suggestion from Ashley, our waitress, was great. The attention to detail was greatly appreciated - the wait staff removed any sign of crumbs and straightened the table cloth at every visit to our table. Perfect place for a date night (ours happened to be on a Monday). My ONLY complaint is that we heard the entire conversation of a couple seated next to our table who were on their first date. We were seated at the first half circle table to the right and their table sat just above and behind us. Other than that, Butcher & Singer was EXCELLENT. It will be one of our go-to restaurants.
