Burney's Sweets & More

Very pleasant first time experience. I was able to get a sweet treat for everyone while my family was visiting. I’d definitely recommend their specialty croissants (strawberry-cream cheese, maple bacon, apple pie and Bavarian cream) the pumpkin truffles and the buckeyes. Customer service was 10/10. Thank you!

If you get bored with the same ole, run of the mill donuts and grocery store sweets, you have got to try Burneys Sweets and more. The manager has been a pastry chef for 15+ years. She spent so much time explaining to me her recipe creations. The stuffed croissants are very moist, filled nicely with such a wonderful variety of fillings. Decadent brownies, mini-cheesecakes, cinnamon rolls, cupcakes. She offers gluten-free specialty items too. If you are a fall "pumpkin" everything person, she lmk that next next week she will be adding a novelty pumpkin cinnamon roll. Sounds heavenly right! I highly recommend

Last two trips into this location have been dissappointing Was there today (8/1/25), the cases were almost empty. I got four things and brought them home and everything was stale! definitely days in the case. I went on the website to contact them and there is only option was to call. I called the store within an hour of the purchase and the young lady just gave me a song and dance. No apology, no offer to make it right, just excuses.

Honestly I couldn’t even speak after I left with this cake. Completely devastated with the results!! I ordered 2 weeks in advance and described the details of the cake twice. I order a hot wheels cake with cars and racing theme. Looks like a toddler decorated it. Horrible . Not to mention the lady at the counter claimed that part of my cake decor melted so I could do it myself ??! 45$ and this is what you get with this bakery. Walmart is more creative than this. Save your money folks.

I usually go to the Burney’s in Southport, where the croissants are always fresh and the store is clean and well-presented. This experience was very disappointing. The croissants were not fresh — in fact, they were cold, like they’d been kept in the refrigerator. None were out on display; they were all in the back. On top of that, the store was messy and unclean. I will not be returning to this location.
