Best mohinga noodle soup in NYC! Full of local Burmese people, so you can see how authentic it is. Only open on Sunday mornings on the 2nd floor of a random Tibetan restaurant. Everyone is so friendly here 🙂 will absolutely come back for breakfast and try other menu
Behold, I have tasted heaven, and it is Burmese Shan Tofu Nway Noodle with Pork! Get thee to this divine Burmese pop-up so you too can feast on the Lord's creation--a creation made of chickpea flour, chewy noodles, spongey yu tiao, and the most delectably savory soup that was ever transmogrified by Jesus. A shot of pickled mustard greens and a cup of cleansing stock serve as faithful apostles to this dish. Maybe do a holy double fist with the equally satisfying national dish, Mohinga. Or serenade your teeth with a hymn of Kauk Hnyin Paung, a savory Burmese breakfast dish with sticky purple rice, desiccated coconut, softened chickpeas, and a sprinkle of seasoned salt. 'Tis truly a psalm of chewing. But be warned: Should you wish to baptize your tongue in Burmese hot milk tea, do not arr
Amazing Burmese breakfast/brunch from three family food vendors who share the 2nd floor restaurant space every Sunday AM. Great tea, coffee, and comfort food like coconut chicken soup, curries, cold noodle dishes. Some hard to get specialties like Durian smoothie or pickled tea leaf salad. It’s mostly for the local community, but open to anyone (dining in or take out). Thank you for being so kind and welcoming!
Arrive early! Tables get packed really fast and place gets busy quickly as soon as the morning rush comes. Layout is organized. Good variety of staple dishes and food portions are actually plentiful… most importantly - tasty! Everyone’s pretty friendly. Would highly recommend. Definitely a must-try if you’re looking for a new authentic spot for breakfast! You won’t regret it. 😊
Ko Thargi Mohinga (fish soup) is hands down the best mohinga in town! If you’re visiting Burmese Breakfast, this is a must-try. Super flavorful with perfectly textured noodles—comfort in a bowl.
