This place is truly Awesome. Capital A. I don’t throw that around lightly. Rachel, Griffin, and Joe were working while I was there, and all three of them were genuinely warm and welcoming. Not in a corporate-script “have a great day” kind of way, but in a real, curious, human way. They actually wanted to know who I am. You can feel the difference. The coffee was fantastic. I got a specialty latte that somehow tasted like dessert without drowning out the coffee. It was definitely sweet, but the espresso still showed up, which is a balance a lot of places miss. The baked goods looked incredible too. Tragically, I had to abstain. Doctor’s orders. Yes, I already bent the rules with the latte. We are moving forward. But here’s the part that stuck with me. I was diagnosed with Autism later i

There are bakeries… and then there are places that feel like they were baked with a soul. Bunny Bakes is one of those places. We walked in and basically made the only reasonable decision: take one of everything. The cinnamon and chocolate rugelach? Soft, rich, and just the right amount of indulgent without feeling heavy. The poppyseed hamantaschen… deep, nostalgic, and somehow comforting in a way that makes you slow down mid-bite. And then there was the coffee. I took the Mendy Latte… and gave it a little upgrade, let’s just say we turned it into the “Mendy Latte on steroids.” Smooth, strong, and exactly what you want when you’re settling into a quiet, thoughtful space. The scone deserves its own mention, perfect texture, not too dry (which is basically a miracle in the scone world), a

I had heard from an excellent source that I had to come try their baked goods! I was not disappointed with my delicious snickerdoodle and fudge brownie. That staff made the experience great by being friendly and excited to share stories when they weren't helping other customers. I have been recommending it to my friends to try.

Wow. I lived in and still work in the Bay Area where you might see comparable prices. The difference is that the quality matches most times. My $6 muffin was frozen inside which, I’m not even sure how you do that? Maybe moving them from a different location on a cold winter morning? Regardless, charge high prices but make sure the product matches. Do better. ✌🏻

Bunny Bakes in Squirrel Hill is an absolute gem! This warm, welcoming bakery is named after Bernita “Bunny” Buncher, whose legacy of inclusion is beautifully reflected in everything they do. Their mission shines through the moment you walk in—an accessible, supportive environment where adults of all abilities are valued and empowered. The baked goods are exceptional (and kosher pareve!), and their coffee and drinks are dairy and Cholov Yisroel, making this a perfect stop for anyone seeking high-quality treats with thoughtful certification. I have to shout out my personal order: the Honey Bunny Latte. It’s smooth, sweet, and truly a must-try! If you’re in Squirrel Hill, Bunny Bakes is a spot you need to experience. Warm people, amazing mission, and delicious food—what more could you want?
