Buna Cafe Philly

This place is a gem in West Philadelphia. Sedakio, the owner has such an amazing and warm personality! The veggie platter is phenomenal - great flavor and taste. Highly recommend the Ethiopian coffee as well. One of the best, if not the best, Ethiopian spots in the city!

This restaurant was really nice and the food was really good! First time having Ethiopian food and it was delicious! The host was so polite and helped me make a great food decision. I'll definitely be back to try a different dish.

What a fantastic place to have in the neighborhood. My wife and I come here maybe a lil too often, and it's the first place we take out of town guests. Best injera on Baltimore Ave, hands down! And some of the biggest portions. Warm service and the food is always excellent. Extensive desserts and café drinks. Board games and party games available. You can't go wrong. If you're having a bad day, Buna will turn it around 😊

Great food, nice people, sweet vibes! We visited for brunch today and enjoyed everything we tried. My favorite was the homemade hot sauce (yum) and split chickpeas. I look forward to coming back. This would also be a great place to sit and read a book with some fantastic chai or coffee. They also had Ethiopian coffee beans and tea for sale, and some nice looking cakes, which we didn't try this time. Lots of vegetarian options. Brunch menu has Ethiopian breakfast & some American options (omelettes, etc.).

Buna Cafe is such a gem in the neighborhood. I’ve not had a chance to dine in yet, but their food via delivery has been outstanding. It’s always well-presented and carefully packaged, which just isn’t the case for all food deliveries. I’ve tried a number of the vegan sides, but I’ve found my groove with the veg platter, and it just makes me so happy! The shiro is amazing—smooth and creamy and so flavorful! I sometimes get it as a side in addition to the platter to have some to enjoy the next day. Definitely worth a visit or placing an order!
