Bulrushes - Breakfast & Lunch Cafe is a revelation for the senses. From the moment I walked in, the aroma of slow-smoked brisket and freshly baked bread enveloped me, instantly awakening my appetite. The cashier and waitress, with their engaging and professionally charismatic presence, set the stage for an extraordinary meal. Eight of us had a delicious brunch here today, and the food was fabulous! I ordered a GF carrot muffin to take home, and I’ve just finished 1/2 of it. It is the absolute best GF muffin/cake I have EVER HAD!!! Thank you & I wish I lived closer! I’d be there every day!

Finally was able to stop in and see what all the fuss was about! Took my mom because I knew she would like several of the menu items she can't find at other places. We came in at 1pm an hour before closing. Right off the bat greeted by friendly staff and service overall was excellent. Mom had the gyro and ordered a stuffed ham sandwich to go (it was enough for two people!) I had the crab dog and let me tell you it was delicious with the sauce on it and a potato hot dog bun. Big steak fries were good too. Next time we will go early and try breakfast.

When I first tried this establishment I was blown away…and I gave a glowing five star review. Unfortunately, every time I’ve been back since it’s been a worse and worse experience and honestly, I doubt I’ll be going back anytime soon. I couldn’t in good conscious leave up my five star review and show photos of the delicious meal I experienced originally because it hasn’t happened since! The next visit we waited and waited for our meals and then received undercooked omelettes with basically raw ingredients inside! We were so hungry we did our best to eat it but it was also flavorless. So very disappointing from the first experience when I had enjoyed an item I have not seen on the menus since (shrimp & grits). The Eggs Benedict, omelets and coffee here are terrific. Eggs poached perfectly, meat VA ham, delicate holandaise with just enough tang; light thin omelet with lots of filling, and good strong coffee. Stopped in after an early morning photo shoot. Great service, great food. Thank you!
