Bullitt County Health Department

I don't know if the rest of the staff is like this but this is my experience summed up. We were scheduled to show up via letter sent to us in the mail. We showed up today to be greeted after calling to check in. A 50ish year old woman that drives a dark gray SUV with brown hair tells me and my daughter in a rude tone that the building is closed. I asked who she is and what relations she had with the department in question. She refused to answer either questions. We showed her the summons in the mail from them. She said that they were closed. I told her that i had to take the day off from work because they didn't call me to tell me and wife about rescheduling. She just said it wasn't her problem. They are condescending and rude besides one lady in particular who works the front desk but I don’t know her name, they never introduce themselves.

While I wish they did walk ins for STD tests instead of purely scheduled I am thankful of the services health departments provide. This place also offers free condoms which really helped me when I was in high school and broke. I was doing a panel on safe sex at a convention and asked for condoms and they gave me a bunch to hand out.

Always very helpful. WIC was very helpful when I was pregnant and until she was 5.

Can always get an appointment when you are sick which is wonderful. So much better than an immediate care.
