Buffalo Steakhouse

Never a bad meal. Every year when we come to SD we eat here. The service is amazing and the food! You just can't find food like this anymore. Old fashioned (in the best meaning possible), no shortcuts. Lots of love and flavor. The salad bar at most places is boring. Their salad bar is small but omg grab you some pickels and the chop chop! I had the flat iron and I've never seen on that thick. So good, flavor and tender. Husband got the felt mignon. Get the burgundy wine, if you are a fan of reds. The beer selection is excellent with some traditional German brews.

Wife and I each had a steak dinner; filet for her, buffalo for me. Both steaks were done perfectly to order, came with a potato and a nice vegetable medley. The salad bar was wonderful way to start the meal. it was clean and well kept with a good selection. My wife absolutely loved the soup. Had a nice selection of beer, several on tap, and wine. However, no mixed drinks which would have been nice. The service was prompt and very friendly. I even saw the waitress track down a brochure for a table near us that was asking about some of the local sites. Can tell they are in the middle of updating. The new floor looks great, the ceiling desperately needs to be updated though. Should have been much busier on a Saturday night than it was. Normally would give it 4* but they deserve a 5* sh

Great food and atmosphere i had the Buffalo ribs and they were great. They overcooked my wife's steak but it had good flavor.

This is a small town so you can't expect a 5 star restaurant. The place was very plain inside, maybe 12 tables, but the waitress is the only one there and works very hard. She waited on everyone as fast as she could. I would say the service was great, but not able to take her time to talk to us about possible hauntings or history in the building. The food was good. A good experience. Old building, historic town. Would come back.

Experience was horrible. Waitress had us grab our own menu and have us seat ourselves eventhough there was a sign that tells us to wait to be seated. There was no AC so we were sweating until our food came out. Waited 2 hours for our food but the food quality was bad! Meat was old, overcooked and the veggies tasted frozen. The portion was small! Save your money! Not worth your money or time!
