Customer Reviews
I love this quaint, little gem of a place. So many books to choose from. Some of the books are written by local authors. They offer merchandise there like t-shirts, bags, coffee mugs/cups, socks and other items. The coffee shop in the back of the store has plenty of choices. I enjoyed a Lavender Cold Press with sweet foam. It's was very tasty. I also had a dark chocolate covered biscotti and that was really good too. The customer service was really nice and helpful. There is seating on the main level, downstairs and outside. There is a bathroom on the main level and one downstairs. If you live here in Minnesota or plan on traveling here, by all means check this place out, you won't be disappointed.
I don’t shop at independent bookstores by accident. I choose to support them because I value community and the experience they’re meant to offer. That hasn’t aligned with what I’ve encountered here. Across multiple trips, I’ve never been greeted when I walk in or asked if I needed help while shopping. On my most recent visit, after I paid and offered a “have a nice day,” the cashier’s response was simply “yeah.” That brief exchange summed up the pattern of the employee interactions I’ve had here. Many reviews describe a warm and inviting environment. That has not reflected what I’ve seen. When buying books online is easier than ever, the in-store interaction is what makes supporting a local bookstore meaningful. There is a clear opportunity here to improve the customer experience. “All
This place is fantastic. Books for self, books for gifts, and gifts that aren't books! An entire bottom floor dedicated to children's books, too. The coffee shop has great coffee, breads, and cookies, and, and), and the 2 level deck overlooks the lake in the distance. We were in town shopping for a girls' day, and only planned 40 min here in our initial estimated timeline. I think we spent an hour and a half, probably could have done more. We came back the next day for more coffee and to browse a little more. We hit up a few other stores in the area on a Thursday and thoroughly enjoyed each store we stopped in, but definitely don't miss this place. Everyone in the whole town was so friendly. Worth the trip from the northern burbs!
This bookstore/coffee shop was made from my dreams. It's open and organized. The coffee shop scent is so inviting. The kids section in the basement is spacious with room to hang out. This is a gem and I cannot wait to return when I am back in Buffalo
Met up with a friend from HS here as the halfway point. Second time here. So many book options and so many drink options, I ended up getting two drinks in three hours. Cute place!
