Buenos Dias Cafecito

Amazing go to place for the best breakfast. Opens really early and they are ready to go. Average time spent there was an hour total for a family of 5. Our go to are the green chilaqules with chorizo topping or your choice of protein. My girls enjoy the breakfast plate loaded with egg, potatoes and bacon. Their pancakes are absolutely delicious and fluffy. Have to eat them right away though because they do become very chewy-like when cold. Don't miss out on the Cafe de olla! No need to add sweetener or creamer because its perfect! Chocolate la abuelita is served at a warm temperature and ready for the kiddos to enjoy topped with whipped cream. Overall I love this restaurant over all others in town.

I had the chilaquiles with the cafe de olla. Coffee is delicious and the food was well seasoned. I would go there again for this meal 😋

I have never written a review in my life but in this economy I feel the high ratings are misleading. My husband and I ordered two breakfast burritos which were $16 a piece for average size burritos. Firstly, they gave one small side of salsa to share for the both of us which was a minor inconvenience but irritating nonetheless. I took my first bite and was greeted with skin on semi-cooked potatoes - a burrito FULL of semi-cooked skin on potatoes I might add. Overall very disappointing that the quality doesn’t match the price increase. Paying $16 for essentially a potato burrito and the potatoes are the worst part of the burrito was my deciding factor to write this review.

Total Score: 6.25 Bathroom: 4.75/5 Very fancy bathroom!! It gave suburban room vibes. But doesn’t fit with the vibe of the restaurant lowkey. Customer Service: 3.75/5 Nice and checked up on us. Ambiance: 3.25/5 Okay decor. The inside is a bit cramped. Outdoor seating was alright. Food: 3.25/5 Decent brunch food. Wish there was more cheese tho cuz the melt would have the dish more cohesive. Also where the green onion? Wow: 0/1 Normal Mexican restaurant. Total Score = BR + CS + 2*AM + 5*FOOD + WOW

Honestly I didn’t think Hollister was gonna have any good food, but I was wrong. Was visiting from Texas staying in town to spend time at Pinnacles National Park.. Food here was excellent! I had the huevos rancheros with carnitas, very authentic. The cafe de olla did not disappoint. My wife had the chilaquiles and claims it was 🔥.. I had me a little bite, and do agree :) My son had the pancakes, the presentation was awesome.
