Really tasty, fresh food at great prices with friendly service. The ropa vieja bowl (shredded beef, rice, beans, & plantains) was perfectly balanced and didn’t feel heavy at all. The banana-leaf tamales was the best we’ve ever had. We’ll definitely come back soon to try other dishes. 😋
DO YOURSELF A FAVOR AND EAT HERE!!! We happened on the amazing little place when the restaurant we were planning on going to was closed. WE ARE SO VERY LUCKY!! This was hands down some of the best food I have ever had in my life!! Amazing depth of flavor in every dish. The empanadas were so flaky, and even with the very juicy shredded beef they did not get soggy at all. The nachos had delicious shredded chicken with amazing black beans and I kid you not, cheese like I have never tasted on nachos. I don’t know what kind of magic she put in them, and I love me all kinds of cheese so I eat it a lot, these were the best nachos I have ever had. My son also had a strawberry smoothie made with coconut cream that I was ready to fight him for (I didn’t, I let him have it, but it crossed my mind).
The best meal I had in Albuquerque! I got the Arroz Con Pollo which is my favorite dish and they did not disappoint! The establishment is very cute inside. They have outdoor seating as well but it was raining when we went there. They get bonus points because there were two stray dogs that ran into the restaurant. They got them somewhere safe from the rain and were waiting for the Humane Society to pick them up. My only disappointment was that I only got to go once!
Fabulous Costa Rican food served up by their Chef/Owner in the better part of Central Avenue-Route 66. It’s so good that she’s opened a second location on Barrellas and 4th Street.
Visited this place today while driving through Abq. The place had good vibes There is some cool outside seating. The indoors is very cosy as well. The owner was friendly and welcoming. I ordered fried plantains and tamales. The service was prompt and the restaurant appeared clean The fried plantains were the best savory plantains I've ever had! They were crunchy from outside but moist from inside. The accompanying sauces were delicious. The vegan tamale was also tasty. The black bean one was amazin as well. They were steamed in plantain in leaves which gave them a great flavour The ingredients used seemed fresh and good quality. They were other options for vegetarian food that we clearly marked in the menu. The owner was willing to customize our food to make it less or more hot to y
