Buehlers Idlewild Inn

This is a wonderful, family oriented wholesome, rustic vacation spot. We've been coming here for years. Most people return year after year because it offers plenty to do and friendly people to play with

The other reviews are spot on. Buehler's Idlewild offers families everything they could want in a relaxing vacation. The kids and bigger kids enjoyed the various activities including the lake, pool, large grass play area, game room, tennis court and farm. Also, the meals cooked up by Mark, Mary and company were great. They even set up a movie theater in the game room on a rainy day. They also handle the little requests with no problem or fuss. Great times and great memories for our group of about 20 that ranged from the grandparents down to the toddlers.

Spent a week there with a couple of my friends. The place is situated a mile or so off the main road which runs around Lake Wallenpaupack. It is in an idyllic setting with late 1800's farm house, a spring house, and barn all situated next to an 11 acre pond. ||||It has an in ground pool along with an adjacent game room with shuffle board, ping pong, board games and a fireplace. The pond offers canoe rides, fishing (I caught a bass and a perch), and is a spectacular place to watch the stars or enjoy a raging bonfire. ||||Meals are included in your stay and I have to say that Mark and Mary are fantastic cooks. The food always tastes great and is plentiful. ||||The area has some great hiking trails nearby and I have taken one of them all the way down to Lake Wallenpaupack. It is a nice little

A wonderful place to spend with family and friends. A very relaxing pocono get away to sit back and relax at the pool with a beer or two while while Mark & Mary prepare three excellent meals. You even get dessert with lunch. Fishing, hiking, swimming and farm animals Buehler's Idlewild has it all. Can't wait to go back next year.

If you are looking for a destination that encourages relaxation, bonding with loved ones, eating delicious food until you are full and satisfied this is the place for you. The kids absolutely love it, they get to interact with nature…hiking, fishing, boating, horses, chickens, pigs. Our yearly family vacation spot, its a place that no one wants to leave. You will be treated like family by Mark and Mary.
