Last night 11/21/25 I got the Bubba 1lb cheesesteak which cost $22 and it was the single most expensive and disappointing cheesesteak I’ve ever had in my life. The steak itself was flavorless and overcooked, every bite was full of gristle and tough to chew. The whiz was so heavy and overpowering that I’m not even sure it had cooper in it at all. The staff was very nice and friendly at least. All in all I was extremely underwhelmed and unhappy with the quality of the cheesesteak for the amount of money I paid. I very highly doubt that I’ll ever come back to this place. There’s far better cheesesteaks within a 15-20 minute drive that cost less.
We waited a little while to try this pace out and I wish we had not bothered… it’s just not great for the money. I really wanted to love it and it didn’t deliver. My waffle fries probably weren’t even fresh yesterday, the whiz was weird. My burger was a preformed probably frozen patty, the milkshake was ok, but the size was disappointing. Also they put halved grape tomatoes on my burger. Each bite was an opportunity for projectiles. Save your money, go to Peppe’s.
This is a nice little place with indoor and outdoor seating. Service was ok, pleasant but not small town friendly like we are used to around here. The site just opened recently so this should improve with experience over time. We tried a bacon cheeseburger, a cheesesteak, a malted milkshake, and a soda. Milkshake: Creamy, delicious, pricy but would consider buying again. 8/10 Cheeseburger: Nice size, fresh lettuce and tomatoes, crispy bacon, good bun. The beef was under seasoned and had an odd taste and texture. The texture reminded me of overworked meatloaf, kind of dense. Both of us rated it 5/10 would not buy again. Waffle fries: Superior! Crispy outside, fluffy inside, great taste. (Came with the burger) Both of us: 9/10 Cheesesteak: The roll was very soft and chewy (I prefer a
Talk about pissing my money away. $15 for a cheesesteak and the thing BARELY has any meat, and it has a big thick roll probably to make up for the lack of meat. Oh and the roll was stale and hard, so you’re just sitting there chewing on a $15 roll really.one of the smallest cheesteaks I’ve ever seen. Cold and dry. $7 for a small watered down milkshake. $8 for mozzarella wedges that were hollowed out. I’m sorry but there’s no way in hell that cheesesteak is worth $15. Go down to warminster and $15 gets you a cheesesteak with fresh meat cooper cheese fresh roll and it’s bigger than a male elephant’s package.
As someone who’s super picky about their cheesesteaks and usually only gets them from the South Philly area, I had my doubts. But Bubba’s just opened nearby, so I gave them a shot and I’m glad I did. I ordered a cheesesteak with fried onions, mushrooms, and American cheese. First off, it was banging juicy, flavorful, and packed with the right amount of meat. What really stood out was the use of fresh portobello mushrooms – not the usual canned stuff or button mushrooms most spots use. That detail alone shows they’re not cutting corners. The roll held up well, the cheese was perfectly melted, and the onions were sautéed just right not too soft, not too raw. Honestly, this was one of the better cheesesteaks I’ve had outside of Philly. If they keep this quality up, I’ll definitely be back
