A soulful speakeasy with a smile. Upon being admitted into the Bu Tea Den one is met with kindness and smart people doing smart things. The music is upbeat, fun and well curated for this beautifully lit high vibrational space. Natalie has built a wonderful tea selection and we sampled a trio of great blends : The Den Blend, Jasmine & Oolong all brewed in an Eastern way with 5 grams of tea so it’s taste is pure, dense and strong. I have personally wanted to embrace tea, especially as a traveled person it’s good to learn and experience each blend and I love learning the history. I randomly stumbled upon Bu Tea Den and was instantly captivated with the concept.. a speakeasy that serves tea! They had me at that. I instantly navigated myself to their website and booked a reservation. Fridays are charmingly named “Bu Tea Call Fridays” and admission is two for one! The lounge is located in a warehouse. As per the instructions in the email, we walked up to the loading dock and pressed the white doorbell. Sev, one of Bu Tea Den’s co-owners, came out to greet and lead us into the tea den. In stark contrast to the industrial surrounding, the tea den is cozy, and, dare I say, a bit hip! The space is lit with the warm glow of paper lanterns. Really impressive experience. I am not normally someone who is interested in the spiritual side of things but I really loved the whole experience and environment of the Bu Tea Den. A must if you're looking for a relaxing but social experience in LA.

Fantastic speakeasy experience. Went in with no expectations, just wanted to enjoy a good time. Teas were delicious, DJ was solid, owners are outstanding and date was great. Looking forward to the next time. Check them out.
