Bruen's Restaurant

Great little restaurant. This is the kind of place some people see the outside and decide to go somewhere else. That is a big mistake. Great food and great service. If you are anywhere near you should stop by. Great food at great prices. I can't say enough good things about this place. I will go back whenever I'm in the area!

Pancakes and coffee were awesome! Sausage reminded me of school breakfast though. Frozen then reheated and bland. Menu is basic diner food - omelets, country breakfast, etc. Had a cool quilt on display.

Stopped in for dinner and had a great experience! We started with the fried banana peppers—the breading was fantastic. I also had to try the strawberry pretzel salad since it was noted as the "best in town." While it was good, I consider myself a bit of a pretzel salad snob, and I’ve had better. For our main courses: The cod sandwich with fries was solid after a little added salt. The BBQ sandwich with fries was absolutely fabulous—flavorful, filling, and worth ordering again. The chicken sandwich (with tomato, mayo, and lettuce) was fresh and satisfying. Service was great—refills came quickly, and everything was reasonably priced. Enjoying life 1 sip, 1 bite, and 1 small town at a time. Explore everything.

Great home cooked style food. Welcoming laid back atmosphere make this place a nice place to stop and eat.

This is an awesome family owned buisness. They have done it the best food I have ever eaten. Definitely worth a stop when you are in the Red River Gorge area.
