Brookside Diner

Love this place! It feels like pulling up a seat in someone’s home for a bite to eat. Everyone is very sweet, especially Becky who will remember your name and order. The food is simple, but enjoyable and filled with the nostalgia of family. I’m a big fan of the miss-matched mugs which again makes it feel like home. Planning to become a regular :) UPDATE Becky and her husband now own the diner! AND they’re open on the weekends again. What a lovely surprise after several months of me being gone. Still as adorable and charming as ever, I always bring out of town guest by for a visit. Highly recommend!

Great diner. This local spot is small on space but big on service. Table and counter top seating available for small groups of about 6-7 at one table top. All the basic food options are available and served with care. Coffee is great and the chocolate milk is hand made! That's right, hand made chocolate milk! Restrooms are very small and would not likely be wheelchair accessible. Staff are great, very helpful and attentive.

First time eating here today. Their breakfast was great. They have a large menu with affordable prices(vegetarian options). Super sweet staff. The place itself is small and old but cute and homey. They mentioned they’re even getting renovations soon so eat up here and support this cute small town business! I can’t wait to come back and see the renovations. Thank you so much for your yummy food and great service!

Chronicles of the Wildman I like to ride around and find diners in the North Country. I visited Brookside Diner on 6 July 2018. I walk in and immediately see the bar. There's about 15 bar stools wrapping nearly all around the diner. I'm quite partial to bar stools, so this made me happy. I ordered a sausage plate with over easy eggs and home fries. It was such a large plate that I couldn't finish it. It was quite scrumptious and I left satisfied. Let's address the missing star. If I could remove only half a star, I would have. They had supplies stacked (neatly) in a corner of the dining room; cups, sugar packets, to go boxes, and vacuums. This very well might have been necessary due to a lack of a back room and didn't take away from my experience. I had and otherwise pleasant breakfast.
