Brooklyn Public Library - Windsor Terrace Branch

Great spot. I love the scanning machine. And that is pretty much all I used it for. The book selection is okie. I got a few book online and going to library does help. This is one of the quieter libraries and study or working here can help you focus.

It's an okay place given that it is a small library and seems to be mostly an ad hoc daycare. There are also a lot of really loud teenagers. It's just not the typical quiet library. Book selection is fairly limited but the DVD selection is extensive. I may have to get a DVD player just for that. Update: The library seems to have gotten even louder, with adults who take out their cell phones and have long/loud conversations. There is absolutely zero part on the librarians to curtail this kind of behavior, so I have no idea if perhaps there's an unspoken rule here that noise is ok? It is nothing like the very quiet libraries in Park Slope and Grand Army Plaza. If you want to come here to do some work and need a bit of quiet, this is absolutely not the branch for that.

So we are sitting outside in front on the library for story time. So if a toddler is hit by a car who is responsible? I hear traffic children screaming across the road. This use to be inside in the open library years ago.

Beautiful library with great programming and great staff!!

A GREAT Library. Very clean and organized. Restrooms are spotless and well maintained throughout the day. The staff are VERY FRIENDLY and super accommodating. Very quick to help you find what you are looking for. Basically nice and quiet. Of course there are infants and toddlers that may be a little loud, but they're babies! GREAT CHILDREN'S PROGRAMS! Fantastic programs for everyone. If the older kids are too noisy, the staff politely tells them. If there's an adult with a cellphone that you can hear both sides of their conversation across the room, a staff member quickly goes over and tells them, politely of course but firm. LOVE THAT... It's very distracting. I really love this place. Thank you staff members! You really make the Library the great place that it is.
