Brooklyn Public Library - Mill Basin Branch

Nice sized branch next to a bus stop. Helpful, patient, knowledge staff. They always seem eager to please. Pretty spacious interior with a large children’s section. Always clean and organized. Nice inventory of new releases. Accessible ♿️.

A library is supposed to be quiet so we all can read/ study. The employees here laugh loudly and talk all day . I couldn’t focus on my work. Just very noisy!

I needed to print something out, and the Flatlands branch is closed this week for maintenance ( several people were outside complaining when I walked up). The librarian at Mill Basin was very nice when I asked her where the computers were. She let me know that at the moment there wasn't many people using the computers, so if I needed more than 30 minutes, it would be okay. She also let me know that if I needed to take an exam, let her know and she would set up a computer for me. I was able to quickly open.up and print the document that I needed, and it didn't even take me 20 minutes. I wouldn't mind going to this library if I had to - it's just that I prefer to be within walking distance to a branch.

Excellent library with lovely children's section that pre-covid had plenty of toys to play with. Clean and organized always. Staff are always extremely knowledgeable and helpful. Great place to stay cool too. Ms. Ann the children's librarian is a treasure and we look forward to having toddler time again one day when in person programs return.

I go here everyday. Nice librarians as staff, a bit noisy in the children's area as there's a middle school nearby and all the kids go to it for free wifi. They have nice programs to attend. Mostly good library, would not recommend for studying or doing projects of you're a kid.
