Broken Bow Swimming Pool

A wonderful, clean, renovated pool! 🏖️We always visit when we come to town from Omaha and it's never busy. I just wish the water was a warmer temperature, also for some reason the showers in the changing rooms were cold water only!🥶 The pool features a zero entry area and smaller slide/splashing area for little ones, lilly pad obstacle course, diving boards, and a bigger slide. Only one person can ride a slide and you need to pass a swim test to use all of those attractions...There is also a shaded area with deck chairs and an area where you can buy snacks. It's super affordable, we paid $2 after 6.30pm!

We were visiting Broken Bow from out of town. I looked online and thought the pool looked nice but wanted to be sure of hours and availability before telling my kids about it. I called the pool as soon as they opened to ask what time they would be closing. They responded 7pm that evening. Which is also what website said. We went to the pool at 540pm that evening and they refused us entry saying they were closing at 6pm for a private party. I asked why they had not indicated that on the phone and they said oh we just tell people we close at 7 when they call but this is a private party and you can't come in. My children were incredibly upset and honestly so am I. A little bit of honesty would have gone a long way. We visit the town of Broken Bow about 12-15x per year but I definitely would N

they let my 6 and 8 year old go down the the water slide without even checking for a wrist band first. the lifeguard was sitting on her phone. biggest waste of the 12 dollars i spent and they didn’t even let us know at the front desk when we arrived that there needed to be a swim test first to swim.

The Broken Bow Swimming Pool is a great place to visit. Since they have updated it, it's been a much better experience and there have been more things to do. There are two heights of diving boards, a water slide, lily pads, basketball hoop, child play area with a bucket that periodically dumps water, and a separate shallow end. There are plenty of lifeguards employed there, too. They have a seperate food area with very well stocked vending machines. The chlorine level is just perfect! It's not too expensive to get in, and if one regularly visits the pool, they have a great season pass deal. It's a great pool compared to other pools in the surrounding areas.

Fun place it would be better if they had life jackets to rent so kids could go down the slide my 8 year old daughter was not happy that she couldn't do the slide even though she could doggie paddle or back stroke the length of the pool and she's a good swimmer but because she couldn't over hand swim they didn't let her do the swim test
