Broad Street Diner

Found a real gem. The atmosphere was the best I've experienced, super friendly staff and customers. The eggs were fluffy and cheesy, the silver dollar pancakes to die for, but the star was the chicken and waffles. You have to try their special Benedict too!! So good, I'm already planning my next trip.

We are not big diner people, however, I kept seeing this pop up as one of the best diners in New Jersey, and I had to check it out. I love that this is an authentic old school diner with only a few tables and the old school exterior and interior feel. There are so few of these around. We were seated right away, on a Saturday afternoon. The service was great, and the food came out really fast. We thoroughly enjoyed everything that we had. We may be diner converts after this! We will definitely be back!

This place is simply, the best. A local gem. The vibes, the staff, the food. Everything is just top notch. I’ve been coming here for 10+ years and never had a bad experience. There’s a million fancy brunch spots but nothing hits quite like Broad Street.

Breakfast was wonderful. The bacon, egg, ham, and cheese sandwich was a delight, and the bread was truly out of this world. The fries were great, and the orange juice was fresh and enjoyable. The diner itself felt very cozy and welcoming. Parking was a bit uncomfortable, which made arrival slightly inconvenient. The biggest drawback for me, however, was the service. My server did not come across as friendly or welcoming—there was no smile and very little warmth. As someone who works in the food industry, attentiveness and hospitality are non-negotiable for me, especially when visiting from out of town. This is a small bustling diner, with friendly wait staff. The menu is varied, and the portions generous. Lots of take out orders. We sat at the counter, and were promptly served. I ordered the homemade hash, which was indeed homemade with large chunks of corn beef. It was bland, though, and the home fries were also under spiced. Free municipal parking across the street.
