Brinkleys Restaurant & Pub

I stayed two nights at the Marriott courtyard prior to an international trip. It was winter and I did not want to miss my flight. travel a bit of distance. The restaurant is inside the Marriott courtyard which has 24 hour shuttle service. During my stay, I ate three meals here, one breakfast, two dinners. All of the food was prepared properly and reasonably priced. I especially like the black and blue burger. I always get my burgers well done and they can sometimes be in edible. This was delicious, and the fries were especially nice. Bar service was great- even though they work with minimal staff.

I always expect hotel restaurants to be second rate especially hotels near airports. What a happy surprise Brinkley's was! We sat at the bar where we were entertained by the friendly bartenders. The kitchen, like in every restaurant these days, was short staffed, but they made it very clear what to expect, making it easy for us to go with the flow. Best of all, when our burgers arrived, they were excellent, tasty and juicy with crispy flavorful fries on the side. Next time we have a crack of dawn flight, we'll know where to stay.

This restaurant is located downstairs in the lobby area at the Courtyard Marriott Boston Logan Airport. It is a warm and cozy location, and staff are professional and personable. We stayed at the Courtyard, so it was very convenient to have this restaurant located at the hotel. I figured since the restaurant was located at the hotel that we could order room service, but unfortunately room service was not an option. We called the restaurant and ordered some food to go then picked it up. We ordered 3 lobster rolls and 3 New England Clam Chowders. We received a call that our order was ready within 15 - 20 minutes after ordering. We were happy that it didn’t take too long because we were starving. The pick up process was simple. Probably more of a 4.5 overall. Saturday night and they have a pretty good crowd. Burger and fries were solid. Only complaint was that the burger was well done and I ordered medium. My wife got the fish and chips, which she said was delicious.

Wow, I’m very impressed by the meal we had tonight. I would say this place is underrated given the quality of the food we had. The clam chowder was nice and thick with a great quantity of clams and potatoes just as it should be. Too many places add bacon as filler and it detracts from the great clam flavor. We also had the haddock fish and chips. Again a great dish as the haddock wasn’t fishy and the batter was light and stays on the fish nicely. The chips were nicely crisp and had the skin still on for a great texture feel. Cole slaw was just right with a nice amount of pepper and not salty. Overall A+ for the food we had.
