Bridgeton House on the Delaware

Our favorite place for all special occasions. Friendly, welcoming staff. Every room is unique, interesting, clean and comfortable. Your choice of delicious breakfast can be delivered to your room at the time of your choice or served in the dining room. Mid-day tea tme is wonderful. It's an old place, so you'll hear some creaks for sure. Parking is tight but accommodating. Be sure to check out Descendants Brewing Company at the Old Ship Inn, just over the bridge to Jersey at the end on the left before the traffic light.

We had a very lovely stay! The staff was very warm and welcoming and the accommodations were we just as expected. The breakfast food and choices were wonderful. Very fresh and hot. I was my birthday so a box of truffles was left in my room wishing me a Happy Birthday as well as mimosas at breakfast. We used their online suggestions for things to do in the area and since it was December it was cold but decorated nicely for the holidays. We had great food and shopping with 30 mins everywhere we went. Can't wait to go back in warm weather.

Loved everything about this place. I was planning a Valentine’s weekend around the Frenchtown and New Hope area, but nothing on my usual apps was catching my eye. Then I checked Google Maps, found this place, and booked our room shortly after. The service, the room, the breakfast, and the tea time were all amazing. Cozy and charming—like being home, but away from home. The living room filled with books and board games kept us entertained, and the butler’s pantry gave us something to snack on late at night. Thank you so much for making our stay truly memorable. We will definitely be back.

The room was exactly as described. The view was even better! The floors were all tile, yet my feet were always warm! My husband and I stayed 2 nights and only left 3 times. 2 times to eat and once to walk over the beautiful bridge. It was comfortable, clean and pretty private. We chose to get breakfast brought to our room and we ate on the balcony both mornings… even though it ice stormed and was freezing… it was worth it. We will absolutely be going back. The people there were super friendly and helpful when recommending places to eat. Both places we went to were delicious!! If I had to really nitpick, the only thing I would say is because we were in the room so much, we would have like to have better cable choices. I will be booking another visit for January!

Beautiful inn right on the Delaware River. We stayed in Room 8 and everything was wonderful! The bed was so comfortable and we woke up to snow falling on the river. We had breakfast in the dining room and Melissa was absolute delight!|If you are looking for a room close the river this is the spot! Be sure to walk the bridge over to Milford NJ and enjoy a meal at the Descendants restaurant.
