Breakwater Beach

Breakwater Beach in Brewster Mass is home to the largest tidal flats in North America. At low tide you can walk out almost a mile and experience, shallow water, aquatic life, horseshoe crabs, fish, snails, oysters and clams. Seeing all this in an easy access, location is wonderful.

Fairly narrow at this location if there at high tide. Some marsh grass. Sunset was beautiful

Free parking after 4 pm, beautiful sunset and epic low tide. I cannot ask for a more perfect location for family photo session

A nice, but small public beach with plenty of parking considering the size of the beach. A parking permit is required from June 15th until Labour Day (first weekend in September). It’s fun to walk around during low tide & a great place to watch the sunset.

Absolutely beautiful at low tide. We walked out in the water for over an hour. We found amazing sea creatures. It was peaceful and a great experience. Highly recommend this spot. Be aware it only has port o potties and no place to change. We wore water shoes as there were jellyfish around.
