BRBQ

I went for my birthday, because I had heard of a new Korean barbecue spot actually in Jersey City. I also like Ondo a lot, and these are the same owners. But I left disappointed. For the prices they were charging, I would've expected better quality/execution on the dishes. This is not a DIY barbecue. Everything is done in the kitchen. BBQ: we ordered the Bulgogi, the Galbi and the Pork belly. I've never had such bad Bulgogi. It was so dry. After everyone took a bite, we all decided we didn't want to finish, and sent it back to the kitchen. We told the waiter we didn't like it because it was over overcooked, and it was not taken off the tab at the end. The pork belly was OK. The galbi was the best part. Located just a few steps away from the PATH Journal Square stop, lucky for Journal Square to have such a charming and cozy restaurant! I saw many people ordering the bibimbap or soup, but I was craving protein. ​We started with the cucumber and oysters, both were incredibly fresh. The grilled corn was a highlight, etuded before the main entree. The kernels were popping with flavor, and I couldn't resist getting my hands dirty. Finally, the pork was so tender. The best way to eat it is wrapped in lettuce with a bit of kimchi. What a combo. Say less. ​Overall, the food was fantastic and the atmosphere was great. I’ll definitely be back for the soup next time!

We had Dolsot Spicy pork and Donkasu with Galbitang. I personally big fan of Donkasu and two thumps up! Reasonable price and delicious. Must try Galbi tang is incredible. One best in NJ ! Restaurant vibe is cozy and luxurious. Food Price is very good. Love it.

A buddy of mine just introduced me to this place and I was very pleased. We shared the Bulgogi Nacho Stack, which was a tasty starter. For my entree, the Namsan Donkatsu was an absolutely delicious choice. Our server Joseph was delightfully professional. I will be returning soon.
