Brasero Tacos Y Tequila

Ok this place is great! We've been visiting Scottsdale for a week and wish we would have found this earlier. We paid 4x this much last night in old town for food that was 1/2 as good. The "hot salsa" is amazing and I couldn't get enough. Fresh ingredients for the guacamole, steaks cooked perfectly, home made style tortillas. This is absolutely worth the extra distance from old town Scottsdale or Phoenix. I had a couple margaritas and they were great as well. The owner was there, putting in effort and I'd say hands down the best we've eaten in the area, especially for the price.

We got tacos and burittos at Brasero and everything was amazing. The food was really good, and the customer service was exceptional. The staff was patient and took the time to explain the highlights of the menu, which we really appreciated. The restaurant itself is also beautifully decorated. We were visiting from NYC, and the owner personally came over to ask us how the food was. He mentioned that he’s revamping the menu and even let us sample a dish he’s planning to add soon because he wanted honest feedback from his customers. That level of care really stood out. I will definitely be back the next time I’m in Phoenix.

I came here for Valentine’s Day and had a really great experience the first time, which is why I decided to come back. Unfortunately, my second visit was very disappointing. The portions did not match the price at all. For example, the “half chicken” was nowhere near half it felt more like half of a half. Paying around $30 for that portion just didn’t feel worth it. I also ordered the fish platter, which was supposed to come with the house salad, but the salad wasn’t included. I understand the fish may be priced higher, but at the very least the full dish should come as described. On top of that, I noticed the cook touching his face while preparing food, which was really concerning from a hygiene standpoint. Ok, food is hands down great. So fresh and you can see them making it to order. I'm usually not a corn tortilla person (prefer flour), but their corn tortillas were amazing. Great flavor. Al pastor tacos were very tasty, cactus taco was ok, carne asada very good, birria were the best. Ceviche was spot on. Margaritas were authentic and fresh, though we had a few and the flavor varied depending on which server made them. Our kids' quesadilla and tacos were good. Chips tasted homemade, a bit thicker than your usual Mexican joint. Our server tried her best though clearly was new to the job. A few snafus on the order which led to a long wait, but everyone was so kind I'm still going for 5 stars. Hope they smooth out their operations in the coming months!

Stopped in here for dinner February 2026. Sat at the bar. Service was fast and friendly. Ordered 3 different tacos (pastor, lengua, and chorizo) and a beer. Food came out quickly. Tacos were good, but not the best i have ever had. The lengua was the best of the trio. I would eat here again.
