REVIEW: The Branch Café (known to the faithful as “The Long Branch”) There are places in Southern Illinois that don’t merely serve food, they serve eras. Stopped in for breakfast and tried the Tex Mex Chorizo Omelet — absolutely fantastic. Super flavorful, packed with fresh ingredients, and cooked perfectly. The whole vibe of the café is warm and inviting, and the staff was friendly and fast. Easily one of the best breakfast spots in Carbondale. Highly recommend!

A stop on the Illinois coffee trail. Grabbed a hot hibiscus tea and spinach feta scone. A bakery, resturant, shop all in one. Enjoying life 1 sip, 1 bite and 1 small town at a time. Explore everything!

It’s a vibe. I had the biscuits and gravy, coffee and chocolate cake. Was there 2 hours and felt welcome. Service great good pretty good.

What a neat little place; I wish it existed back when I lived here. The grilled cheese was first rate. The blueberry muffin reminded me of mom's homemade muffins. I didn't get a coffee, but it sure looks like a good place to get a cup.
