Brad's Desert Inn

To me; passing through on a one night stay, this was perfect with good pricing. Room was clean, comfortable bed, walking distance to grocery stores and to restaurants. 2 Downsides, 1) I wanted to take a hot bath. I was chilled to the bone from a long bike ride in very cold temps. The hot water came out,,, almost hot,,, for maybe 3 minutes then quickly went from Luke warm to almost warm. The shower stayed plenty warm the whole time due to less flow for showers. 2) No horizontal surfaces to place things. Had to put everything on the floor. Still loved the place, would certainly stay again.

I like to root for the underdog and I truly hope the owners get their stuff together. This is a sweet little property with a lot of potential. ||The price point was reasonable and the location is ideal for visiting Petrified Forest. The room surfaces were adequately clean and the bathroom was clean. The sheets were fresh and we slept very well. ||The trains didn’t bother us. What did was just the lack of utility in the room. It’s a pretty small space. It would be great to have hooks on the walls and some shelves so guests can get their belongings off the floor. Also first impressions are important. I’ve never seen more dirty dusty areas outside the guest room doors. Of course the dirt and dust tracks right into the guest rooms. ||I wish the owners and staff

Positive: Right off Route 66 and it first appeared to have the cool factor we look for. The bed was ok Negative: The air condition was noisy, the train noise nearby and the someone was in the parking lot raving up their car very early in the morning!

We were very much looking forward to our stay; however, our experience was regrettably disappointing. Upon arrival, we were provided with incorrect check-in instructions, which proved problematic given that the front desk is not staffed 24 hours a day. When we eventually accessed the room, we were met with an extremely unpleasant odour. It became immediately apparent that we had been allocated another guest’s room, which contained spoiled food, clothing and money. Fortunately, a very helpful maintenance staff member was on site and kindly assisted us by contacting the owner. A cash refund was subsequently issued; however, we were left incurring additional costs as we had to secure alternative accommodation at short notice. Very disappointed In reply to your response. Great little retro route 66 hotel. Rate was excellent, the manager was very accommodating. Rooms are kind of small, but for just a night's sleep, they work. If you are noise sensitive, bring earplugs, as the railroad sounds like it runs right behind the facility. Basic usual hotel extras, such as shampoo and coffee maker. Did have a small fridge and microwave in the room too.
