I can’t tell you how many fond memories I have made at this place!! I have made at least one trip here a year for the last 20 years and it has been a place that has filled my life with some of the best memories made with some of the best friends a person could ever imagine. From fun summer trips with big groups of friends, weekend getaways for a canoe paddle down the AuSable River, hunting weekends with buddies, to a recent vacation with family and friends, this place has been anything a person could ask for to unwind from life. Thanks Bowles family!! You have a wonderful cabin!

Clean & accommodating to your outdoor needs. Sleeps 6+ comfortably but I wouldn't know, I tent it on my yearly visit. Whether you like the water with canoeing close by or Higgins Lake or just relaxing enjoying the outdoors this is the place. When you need to make that trip to town, well, you can round trip it in a 1/2 hr.

Our favorite place in Roscommon. Personally know the builders and owners of the Ranch. Has a B&B feel. Owner provides only the best beverages, snacks, and meals in town. Nice and close the AuSable River for some canoeing. Always a great time when we staying at Bowles Cabin.

The bar was inconveniently located in the well pit, witch provided a nice cool break from the humid July air and man eating mosquitos, however; it was rather difficult to locate as a first timer. Once the sun set, an amateur DJ show, “Club Deck”, initiated to get the campers engaged. After several subterranean cocktails and a few games of corn hole the wife and I began to loosen up and started to enjoy ourselves. The owner John seemed rather hospitable but by 4 o’clock each day he was hard to find without a Bud Light in his hand. The reason for 3 stars is because the facilities were improperly described. We

As usual, our visit was pleasant and accommodations were excellent. If you want to be close to canoeing, fishing and outdoor activities, this is a great place to stay. I highly recommend giving it a try.
