Bossa Nova Brazilian Cuisine

This was my first time visiting Bossa Nova since it’s just down the street from me, and overall, it was a good experience. The presentation of the restaurant is really nice, and one of the best features is the bakery display inside, it definitely catches your eye and adds to the atmosphere. The food options are varied and reasonably priced for the most part, which I appreciated. As someone who considers myself a bit of a pasta connoisseur, I tend to judge a place by its mac & cheese. Unfortunately, the mac & cheese here was just okay. The sauce tasted like it was made with pre-curdled cheese rather than a smooth, from-scratch cheese sauce, which made it less impressive than I’d hoped. I’d been wanting to check this place out for a while, and I finally went with some friends. They even have a little store inside. I ordered feijoada, the most popular dish in Brazil, and it was really good. Their cheese bread, pão de queijo, was amazing too—I bought some to take home. The atmosphere was great, and the staff were super nice. I definitely want to come back with other friends I want to introduce to this restaurant.

Such and amazing menu and excellent service for our Pre-Valentines Weekend dinner. We ordered the Picanha with black beans, plantain, and roasted vegetables. Steak was prefectly cooked medium and seasoned well, no sauce needed. Every part of that dish was delicious and flavorful! Also split a Sundried Tomatos pasta with Chicken and it was just as delicious and flavorful. For dessert we choose the Chocolate Grande cake it was a prefect finish to our delicious meal. Rich and Chocolatey and not overly sweet. Reasonable prices and amazing service with the most delectable food!!! I've had them before at their Downtown LA location and it was also an excellent meal/experience. 10/10

Bossa Nova never disappoints. The menu is thoughtfully crafted, full of bold flavors and beautifully prepared, delicate dishes. My favorites include the pasteles, short rib pasta, spicy chicken sandwich, shrimp pot pie, and the gorgonzola burger. And of course, their famous pão de queijo is a must! All of the bowls are consistently delicious, and the banana Xango dessert is both unique and incredibly satisfying. The atmosphere is warm and inviting, and the service is always exceptional. I’ll definitely keep coming back!

The food was excellent. The service was also. Atmosphere was just all right. Probably due to big family party with small children at the next table. First time here. Only thing holding me back from coming again would be the parking situation. Not good at all.!!
