What an absolute GEM!! We stopped in on a whim after a long day of car shopping and everything about this place was absolutely incredible. Ambiance? Think “cozy neighborhood dive bar meets southern hole in the wall BBQ joint.” The reggae music that was playing— coupled with the American and Jamaican flags on the wall—intrigued us, so we asked about them. Learning that the owner has dual citizenship in both of these countries only made us love the place even more! Waitstaff were all super friendly, welcoming & attentive. Our waitress Kaylee was super helpful and offered solid menu suggestions since it was our first time. I had the pulled pork tacos and can honestly say they’re some of the best I’ve ever had. Meat was tender, melt in your mouth, & perfectly seasoned, wrapped in a warm tort
Really good barbecue, the jerk wings and brisket sandwich are amazing. Even better beer, with more variety than 10 different types of IPAs. I really enjoy the Pecan Brown, Sticky Paw Brown, and sometimes they have an Amber ale that is really good. Big butcher block bar and a handful of 4 seater tables in a cozy environment. Low lights and good music (and the Patriots game) finish off the vibes.
Beer was all right, BBQ leaves something to be desired especially at a premium pricing. Meat is overcooked and dry. I’ve never been to a smokehouse where I didn’t want to finish the meal like I experienced here.
Decided to try this place on a whim. Small inside. Only a few booths (usually reserved for more than 2). Round tables with stools. Menu consists of a large chalkboard. Some cocktails, a bit pricey. Beer made in house. Husband said it was good beer. Pizza was pretty good. Lots of cheese, good crust and sauce. Needed to be cooked a little longer though. Jerk wings very good. Great BBQ sauce. Pulled pork on cornbread waffle was okay. Pork itself was tasty snd cooked well but waffle was small and flimsy almost soggy. I ate it without the waffle. A bit pricey for what you get but willing to return to try something different. Waitresses very friendly and accommodating. A man, owner I believe came by to make sure everything was good. Bill had a service charge on it, when I asked what it was, i
Been here multiple times when in the area and you can’t beat this hidden gem. My kids are hooked as well. Today’s visit was a repeat of our last; Brisket Pizza, Brisket Tacos, Brisket Mac & Cheese, Jalapeño IPA. Can’t beat the food or the service, great staff. Give this place a try and it will be in your regular rotation.
