Bop's Frozen Custard

This is a late review. Visited this shop for the 1st time Sept. 20th. I had a CYO sundae. It tasted very good and I appreciate how the toppings were layered and not just placed on the top. It can get a bit pricey when adding multiple toppings. A tad bit cheaper than most ice cream shops when adding toppings. I'm not local to the area. But if I'm ever in town again, I will definitely drop in.

Really delicious custard! They make great sundaes and ice; we have yet to be disappointed in a flavor combo. Peanut Butter Mountain is always my go-to sundae, although the Mud Sundae is another one of my favorites. We've also tried their Cookie Sundae, Dirt and Worms, and some ice /custard combinations (although I can't say I remember which ones). Always tasty and consistent quality. The atmosphere is fun and the seating area clean. The people who work here are always friendly, and service is quick.

Our stop came as a result of multiple family and hotel recommends. It has been in the same location for 24 years, which tells you something. Absolutely wonderful frozen Sunday treats. Shout out to Ashlynn, the staff member who served us. She took great effort to be sure we knew all the options, what the favorites are and even past specials in case we wanted one of those. We chose a Mud Sunday (delish) and a Buttery Waffle Lineup (good but not spectacular, I wouldn’t choose again). The custard base of all their menu is delicious! We had a little with a food allergy so the vegan vanilla option allowed all of us to enjoy a wonderful frozen concoction. We will come again. My only complaint, if there is one, is that the tables are so high that a child in a high chair can’t use the table top.

This maybe the only frozen custard place in town. We love coming here. The snappy turtle is the best. I’ve tried many items on the menu and they all seem to have the same great quality. Another favorite of mine is the blackberry cobbler. Life doesn’t get any better. I’m not sure what they are doing in the back, but service is the fastest I’ve ever seen. If you use the drive through, they will have your custard ready before you get to the next window. We will be back many more times.

Overall, it was a positive experience. This is clearly a local favorite as there was a steady line of people rolling through. The Sundays were great, the staff was friendly and helpful, and it was a clean, enjoyable experience. I'm sure we'll be back.
