Driving back to Washington, D.C. after a weekend in Romney, West Virginia riding the Potomac Eagle, we stopped at Bonnie Blue in Winchester on a Sunday morning. Being a perfect autumn day, they had lots of seating outdoors on their patios. To feed three of us, we ordered their highly recommended pork chops, which sounded odd at first for breakfast, but it was delicious. The pork chops were perfectly cooked and juicy. The brisket eggs benedict were tasty too. We enjoyed the Mason Jar Mimosas. The latte was just okay. Overall, it was a great experience! Staff were very friendly and quick!
Finally checked this place out and I'm so glad we did! Amazing, quality, southern comfort food. We had the Working Man's breakfast as well as the Biscuits and Gravy. The roasted potatoes served on both were sooo good! The Biscuits n Gravy had a strong roux flavor which caught me off guard but still good. A bustling place. They also have a small bakery inside too with small desserts available to order.
I went for brunch to try it since I saw great reviews. They were not wrong, the food and the service was amazing. I had the shrimp and grits and I can say it was one of the best ones I had. I will go back to try other dishes. The place is small so expect a little bit of a wait time, but worth it.
Myself & two friends were traveling to Boston & decided to try Bonnie Blue for lunch. A converted old gas station & it's located close to Old Town in Winchester. We had the Crab Cake, Cheeseburger & Fried Chicken Thighs(huge portion). Everything was delicious and prepared perfectly. Our wonderful server was Chelsea. She was very polite, professional and just a Sweetie. For a good meal, I recommend you give them a try.....
Funky quirky BBQ place that used to be an old Esso gas station. Parking is on the street. When walking by, you can see & smell the smoker. We walked in & there is very little seating so we sat at a counter looking outside. We enjoyed the chicken salad, collard greens, potato salad, mac & cheese, & burnt ends app. All were excellent. The burnt ends sauce was Asian-like & a little too sweet for me. The owner was gracious & very nice to us. I also enjoyed some local Chardonnay. Definitely a place to check out!
