Bonners Ferry Municipal Pool

Really nice pool & splash pad. Plenty of lifeguards. It's pretty crowded, but that is to be expected. I took off one star for the bathrooms. Each bathroom only has one stall, a combo toilet/changing room. Additional changing rooms would be helpful, and easy to install in the existing space.

I went to the pool for the very first time this morning. I had driven by it prior to opening and honestly wasn't expecting much. I'm so glad I gave it a second chance. It is a small lap pool but for being an outdoor pool it is very clean and well maintained. I was able to put my belongings in a cubby box. I wore my suit so I did not check out the facilities. The lifeguards are super nice and pleasant. It would be nice to have lane dividers. There were 3 of us this morning and we were able to each stay in our area but if you had a couple other swimmers it could pose some challenges. The pool temperature was perfect and you can't beat the views. Thank you Bonners Ferry for opening up this gem. I'm looking forward to many more days enjoying the pool.

Nice ..water on splash pad ice cold, pool is nice temp. Very clean. Wish they had benches facing splash pad but they all face pool, bring your own chair. Lots of lawn to set up chairs. Need door on restrooms , no where private to change but the one bathroom stall.

You might want to mention that you have swimming lessons and that open swimming in the afternoon doesn't start until 1:30 pm - 5 pm. So if people travel a while to get there, they don't come too early. You might open at 8 am, but public swimming doesn't start until 1:30 pm - 5pm. Then there's family swimming (?) from 5 pm - 6:30 pm. Whatever that means, I didn't stick around to find out what that means...

Unfortunately, they were closed the three times I attempted to visit with the family. Very disappointing. There are not a lot of public accessible areas to go swimming even though the Kootenai River goes through Bonners Ferry. So, on a hot day, it is frustrating that they would be closed.
