There you go !!! Mata Hambre haha !!!! The deep PR flavor. This guy knows how to make it. Lot of Philly places lack this flavor straight up. So glad I found this place. They put love into making the food.
Def a recommend spot ! Food was flavorful and didn’t take too much time to come out. The service and atmosphere was amazing. You won’t be disappointed
We haven’t even finished our meal yet and I am already writing a review because KUDOS to the Chef! Living in PA from NYC for the past 5 years and I have yet to find a place with some really good PR food…until Bomba y Plena! The food is absolutely amazing, seems to be made to order but in timely manner. Service was super friendly and top notch. Our entire meal was outstanding, every single thing we had, so flavorful and perfectly cooked. The bifongo was not dry at all. Cannot wait to return to try more from here!
I went for the first time today. The food was great! But the servers and space not so much. My friend and I were sat directly under a low huge tv close to the wall. When I asked if we could be seated somewhere else she said no. I would understand if the place was full but there was only 1 couple there. The other (5) tables were empty. I stayed because I wanted to taste the food which was great. Prices are affordable. The place is dark and small, not for the claustrophobic. Btw, When we left there were still empty tables. I will not eat in again. Maybe I’ll order to go.
Bomba y Plena is a hidden gem. It has a cozy atmosphere and the incredible service makes you feel at Puerto Rico. The music set the tone for a great meal. Most of the things I tried, I liked. The can can pork chop is so good, I always ask them To cook it really crispy so I can have the chicharrón edges! The seafood is good too. Come and experience the best mamposteao rice in Philadelphia!
