Bojangles

I grew up in the Raleigh area where Bojangles service was on-par with other fast food restaurants in the area. But unfortunately that's not the case in Leland. This is the worst Bojangles I've experienced in my life and I've tried 7+ times to give fresh opportunities. Initially I assumed it was a COVID slump, but no, this restaurant has gone down hill. My last straw was witnessing the same person that told me to wait 5 minutes for my order walk off and go to the local smoke shop with other employees while I waited 20 minutes for him to get back. If not for me going inside to request my food they would of forgotten.

I have never had a good experience here. From having to wait 30+ minutes in the drive through to waiting inside for over 30+ minutes in FREEZING temperatures (I think they were trying to freeze people out of the inside dining area because it was 7 pm.) After having to wait all this time they also will probably get your order wrong even if it’s was a simple bacon egg and cheese biscuit where you would assume you couldn’t mess it up. On top of all of that the workers usually act as if you’re inconveniencing them by simply trying to place an order. I will not be going back and would rather drive into wilmington than go to this bojangles again.

Food was hot and came out quickly but the restaurant had a sanitation score in the low 90s the last time i was there. I stop for lunch or breakfast about once a week and it is typically pretty quick.

We've been a few times, not a very good experience any time we've gone. This is the last time we will go there. Ordered some chicken sandwiches for dinner. They were overcooked to hell and back and tasted like fish. Ordered a family size dirty rice that looked more like gruel. The family size cole slaw was a small portion, looks like what they would put in a regular serving. It also came with the serve by tag on our Coleslaw. It appears as though it should have been thrown out 28 hours ago, and they're still serving it. The Cajun pento family size was lacking flavor. At least they still tasted like beans? Almost $30 down the drain.

The fried chicken was weird. It was four or five pieces, I honestly don't remember. But the point is that one piece tasted as if it was not cooked enough, the others felt overcooked. The soda dispenser had spills around the back and when I poured my choice of soda, the syrup came pure with little or no soda. I mentioned it to the staff and they just stared at me and did nothing. The overall atmosphere was not inviting and the building could benefit greatly with a renovation. No wonder why we were the only customers. I know that my words sound hard. But, I want to continue being honest with my reviews. Oh, I forgot. The fries, oh my gosh. I didn't eat but three or four. They were far from acceptable. You know what. After reading my own review.
