Blue Ocean Seafood Market

Today I bought a mullet fish from Seafood Market. I asked if the fish is fresh and has been assured that it is. My wife fried it, and the fish smelled as it was soaked in the bleach. The smell of chlorine is very unpleasant. We had to dispose everything that left after we tasted it. Very disappointed.

I started buying fish from this place a few months back, haven't really had a problem until today. I bought a couple of fish and a bag of mussels last week. At the time they took quite a while getting the fish cleaned, as I went around the store, did some shopping then came back, still had to wait for that to finish, and there wasn't anyone before me. I felt a little odd but couldn't make out anything until I cooked the fish - one fish tasted mostly bitter, and other part of it bitter. So the cleaner knew he popped the gallbladder, must have been spending time trying to wash it off, but he still put the two together. Then it's the mussels from Canada. After cleaning out, and throwing out the obvious dead ones, the resulting soup still smelled. I went back to the trash and looked at B

Smell the product before buying! I just bought tiger shrimp. Brought it home and had to immediately throw it away. It is still stinking the house. We would have been sick all night. Sorry, can’t purchase again.

Fish prices went up but good selection of seafood that is always fresh. I get my fresh fish here. Tilapia is $7.99 (USD) a pound as of 10/23/22.
