Blue Nile Restaurant

The food here was delicious. The sambosa was crispy and filled with slightly spicy lentils. The meat dishes are all served on a slightly sour and very tasty bread/pancake called injera. I had the lamb (yebeg tibs) and it was great - so flavorful and tender. I didn't try the 2 kinds of beef or chicken that my company ordered, but according to them it was great! My side of collard greens was equally delightful. The reason it's not 5 stars is the price of the food for the amount you get. Ordering a combo (meat dish + a side order of a vegetable dish) helps the price but the helpings were noticeably small for the price. That being said, Blue Nile is a great place to check out if you're in the area.

The best Ethiopian restaurant I’ve been to! The pool of Ethiopian restaurants I’ve been to is not very large, but the food in this place is really delicious and they have gotten recognition for it based on the certificates on the wall and all. We tried their veggie combos and their lentil samosas. The samosas were some of the most delicious ones I’ve ever had. This is a great place for a date, meeting up friends, or simply for enjoying a delicious meal. I’m sure I’ll be back there soon.

Great restaurant with a lot of options and a good atmosphere. However, the service was a little disappointing. Although the servers seemed friendly, they absolutely didn’t pay attention to the customers needs for water. We were waiting for the water to be served for over 10 mins and then had to ask for it. After the jar was over , there were no refills offered either. Such small things need to be taken care of if they want to run a successful business. The entree food was good with lovely flavors , the sambusa was very oily. The cottage cheese dish was decent. The place is at a good location and finding parking was easy. Overall will recommend this place in Boston downtown

Food has absolutely NO FLAVOR! Trust me when I tell you this is not Ethiopian food! I drove 2 hours to this place just to try a different spot, I normally go to Habesha. This place is no comparison. Peas taste like unflavored mash potatoes, vegetables are tasteless and undercooked. Their injera is stale not fresh. I had to season everything with my own seasoning at home. I’m an soooo upset. $85 down the drain. Beef wat stew has zero salt zero flavor. Just bitter onion taste from over sautéed the onions. Very very disappointing. Also got a the kitfu that I can say was ok.

Came in here on a cold winter night & was warmed every way, from the people to the food and drink. My dish was delicious, warming, perfectly spiced. Their injera is made with 100% teff and has a wonderful nutty flavor. I can’t wait to go back and try more dishes there. Well worth a visit.
