Blind Alley Bayou

Called in an order I got a fish plate, 10 wings, and fried green tomatoes. Phone service and in person service was good and place was clean. I didn’t get a picture of the fish plate, but my son said he didn’t care for it. My wings were not crispy at all. The skin was actually gummy I guess is a good description.(see pic) very chewy and couldn’t eat the best part SKIN. The fried green tomatoes were a joke. They were fried entirely too long and the inside was basically nonexistent. This was my first and last time trying this restaurant.

Food is awesome, place is always busy, tables are varied in size and can sometimes be reserved. Great catfish. They have a large menu. When crowded it can be very noisy. Cell phone service may vary inside due to decorative metal cladding on ceiling and walls. Almost creates a faraday like cage that interferes with radio waves from towers. Very clean every time we have came. Large parking area. Out door seating is often available with live music or events. Great family friendly staff.

My family and I eat here weekly and are always treated well. The waitress are kind, food is great( love the boudin egg rolls), and the owner is a sweet lady. A lot of work and dedication goes into a small business like this and it always feels like home. Great seafood in the heart of Hernando ❤️

Well didn’t rate food because we never got any… Didn’t rate service because we didn’t really get any service. We came in and other customer said you can sit anywhere. We stood by a dirty table while trying to flag down a server. At least 5 times the looked as they walked by acting like they did not see us standing there. After 20 standing by the dirty table, I cleared off all the dirty dishes. I went to the men’s restroom to get paper towels to wipe the table. No paper towels in restroom. The owner’s bother in law (great guy) saw what was going on and he brought a towel and cleaned off the table. He stood there visiting with us for about 15 when I asked if he could find our server. She finally came over with menus. Took our drink orders and an Appetizer. She brought my wife tea and me a wa

Went to this establishment last night, we ordered several things off the menu. Most of everything was overcooked. The food had no hint of Cajun style taste. Someone from Louisiana knows what that taste is supposed to be. The waitress we had wasn't friendly and only came to the table twice. The place would be better called a bar and grill. We will definitely not return. Avoid this place at all cost.
