What a gem. Was passing through the area and found this place on Google Maps. Very worth the few miles drive off the interstate. We ordered a potato with chicken, and a two meat plate with brisket and sausage and Mac&cheese and jambalaya for the sides. Everything was delicious and portions were generous (especially the potato - ridiculous in a good way).
The guy who took our order is really friendly. My cousin and I ordered a bunch of bbq brisket, pulled pork, Mac and Cheese, and jambalaya. The bbq sauce that came with order is also really really good. It’s that bbq flavor with a little heat and spice to it. I ended up making a pulled pork sandwich. Would definitely recommend!
It's literally a hole in the wall type of place, but worth a stop for decent BBQ. Got a three meat dinner. Sliced brisket, sliced thick, smoky, tender and juicy, has a touch too much fat for me. Chicken was also smoky and tender. Pulled pork was smoky, tender and was not fatty. BBQ sauce that I got was sweet, thick and has a kick to it. Beans are sweet with a hint of heat. Broccoli coleslaw was actually pretty good. They did not have any of the sausage when I was here. Got one of their cinnamon rolls. Not a fan of the cream cheese topping. Scraped most of that off and found the cinnamon roll decent. Not my favorite. Dry with alot of cinnamon, not enough sugar or butter in it. Doubt that I would purchase it again. Mainly a takeout place. Does have a couple of wire spool tables with little
Very friendly people serving very good bbq. As another person wrote, they don't skimp on the meat on their sandwiches. I like how you can have a sweet as a side with your sandwich--great cinnamon roll. We also tried the ribs, sliced brisket and smoked chicken which we also liked. They also have jambalaya as a side dish.
Hands down, best brisket sandwich I've ever had. Incredible smoke and fat render on every piece, and very generous portions. The bun they use is also so soft and slightly sweet, perfect size to contain all the meats! The BBQ sauce reminds me of the homemade BBQ sauce I grew up with in TX, and one I've searched for for years at other BBQ establishments but could never find. This place also has a spicy BBQ sauce but it's way too spicy for me. My husband has the smoked chicken wings, and wow! Thankfully he shared with me. They had incredible smoke flavor and were so juicy. Lastly.... The cinnamon role. Get it, don't think twice. One of the best cinnamon rolls I've ever had. If this place was in the city, they'd have a line down the street. It's that good!
